Terms of Service
These terms cover the Surface Again Chrome extension, the website surfaceagain.com, and Surface Again Unlimited (together, "Surface Again"). By installing the extension or buying Unlimited, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't install or buy it.
1. What Surface Again does
Surface Again adds a button to Gmail in Chrome. When you pick a time, it writes a short reply on the thread you have open, addressed only to you, and asks Gmail's own Schedule send to deliver it at that time. Gmail does the scheduling and delivering. Surface Again runs in your browser and does not read, store or send your email on any server. See the privacy policy for exactly what data exists.
2. Plans
- Free: up to 10 surfaces per calendar month, per browser.
- Unlimited: no monthly limit, for the price shown on the pricing page at the time you buy, billed monthly or yearly. One license key works in up to 5 browsers.
We may change prices for future billing periods. If we do, we'll email active subscribers at least 30 days before the change applies to them, and you can cancel before it does.
3. Buying and billing
Payments are handled by our checkout partner, which acts as the merchant of record: it is the seller on your receipt, charges your card, and collects and pays any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. Its own terms also apply to the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel any time from the link in your receipt email, or by writing to hello@surfaceagain.com. Your key keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again. Refunds are covered in the refund policy.
5. Your license key
A key is for you. Use it in up to 5 of your own browsers. Don't publish it, resell it or share it with other people. If a key is clearly being shared beyond that, we may turn it off; if that happens by mistake, write to us and we'll fix it.
6. Gmail is Google's
Surface Again works with Gmail but is not made, endorsed or supported by Google. Gmail, Chrome and Schedule send are Google's products and can change at any time. If a Google change stops Surface Again from working, we'll try to fix it quickly. If we can't fix it for 14 days or more while you're on Unlimited, you can ask for a refund of the unused part of your current period.
7. What we can't promise
Surface Again depends on Gmail delivering the scheduled reply. Gmail can send it a few minutes late, or not at all if the scheduled message is changed or deleted in Gmail. Surface Again is a reminder tool, not a guarantee. Don't rely on it alone for legal deadlines or anything where a missed message would cause serious harm.
Surface Again is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't give any warranty beyond what these terms say, and our total liability to you for anything related to Surface Again is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
8. Using it fairly
Don't use Surface Again to send messages to other people (it only writes to you), to break Gmail's or Google's terms, or to try to get around the free limit by tampering with the extension.
9. Ending
You can stop using Surface Again any time by removing the extension. We can stop offering Surface Again; if we do, we'll give active subscribers at least 30 days' notice and refund any paid time left after the shutdown date.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, for subscribers, email you before the change applies. Using Surface Again after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Contact
hello@surfaceagain.com for anything, privacy@surfaceagain.com for privacy requests. A person reads both.
